5″ New Snow!

Roosevelt National Forest Closures: Mostly Open
Two years after the massive blaze we still have a few road and trail closures. Luckily these closures should not effect most people using the backcountry at Cameron Pass this winter. Review this map to see the areas that are still closed: Closure Area

CIAC Avalanche Forecast: No Forecast
CAIC is not issuing a daily forecast until November 1. Be safe out there.

Welcome to Winter 2022/2023

It has been an amazing fall in Northern Colorado unless you are itching to get back to skiing beautiful snow at Cameron Pass. It has been a slow start for the snowpack with dustings here and there but Monday, 10/24, showed the first potential signs of snow that will be here til spring. There is currently 1″ at the Joe Wright Snotel site and more forecasted the next few days.

It’s time to start doing your snow dances so we can build a consistent base. Most importantly, have fun this winter and stay safe out there. Looking forward to seeing you at the pass.
